Program Note

Für Arvo is a humble tribute to Arvo Pärt’s beautifully eloquent yet simple piano work, Für Alina, which is Pärt’s first piece using his tintinnabuli technique. In my piece, I also integrate the technique, but with a few modifications, including octave displacement, use of the Lydian mode, modulation, and some serial techniques.
