Program Note

Anachronistic Visions is a “neo-Baroque” orchestral suite. In the music of J.S. Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, and others, I was drawn to the rhythmic drive, sound of basso continuo (harpsichord with bass), heavy counterpoint, clarity of texture, and complexity of harmony. These are all elements I’ve fused with my own personal style. Anachronistic Visions was composed for and is dedicated to Dr. Lorna Peters and the fine performers of Camerata Capistrano.
