Under Moonlight (2012)
solo piano
ca. 7'
Inspired by some of my walks along the American River, Under Moonlight can be taken as a collection of different “night scenes” which tries to evoke not only the beautiful and tranquil, but also the curious and mysterious wonder of night. While I think of it as a set of character pieces, I also see it as a continuous and evocative narrative – imagine you are taking a walk through a mystical nature scene at night. (RS)
